Alibaba and MFA

I was doodling for my toddler. Then, all of a sudden, the famous “Open Sesame” phrase by Alibaba popped into my head. In this day and age, how do 40 thieves safeguard their loot?

MFA

When protecting your digital assets, a password manager is an essential first step but certainly not the last. When it becomes possible, two-factor authentication (2FA) should be used with all of your online accounts. The most common type of two-factor authentication (2FA) is a one-time code texted to your phone, but the most secure type is a physical security key. The accounts you designate will be inaccessible to anyone who doesn’t know your password and possession of your security key.

A hardware security key is a way to prove that you or someone you trust is attempting to access or sign in to something and is not a criminal. They are referred to as “possession factors” because they demonstrate that you physically own something used to authenticate your account.
